Watch the Bugatti Bolide undergo intensive testing at the airport

Bugatti is gearing up to launch its most extreme creation yet, the Bolide, very soon. The track-only hypercar is currently undergoing validation tests before going into production. Recently, the car was placed at the airfield. This video shows Bolide during a high-speed dynamic test.

The production-spec Bugatti Bolide was launched in April this year. If you look closely, you’ll notice a few changes compared to the concept showcased in 2020. But that doesn’t mean it’s getting tamer.

The Bolide still packs Bugatti’s legendary W16 quad-turbo motor which has been tuned to produce 1600 hp. Thanks to its dry weight of only 1450 kg, this car has an insane power-to-weight ratio. Bugatti claims it can tow 1.6 g when accelerating, which is unheard of in the automotive world.

The Bolide carbon fiber monocoque is wrapped in intricate carbon origami that generates a ton of downforce. It has a large 2-element rear wing with a large end plate and a very large diffuser.

Only 40 examples of the Bugatti Bolide will be produced, each with a price tag of $4 million. Bolide’s first deliveries are scheduled for 2024.
