Volkswagen shows Golf sized concept EV to retail from £22k in 2025

Volkswagen has shown off its ID. 2 all electric concept vehicles to be sold for less than £22,000.

The production version will be based on the MEB Entry platform and is one of 10 new electric models that Volkswagen will launch in 2026.

This will offer a range of up to 450 kilometers and be as broad as the Golf. Production version ID. 2all will be based on the new MEB Entry platform.

Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said: “We changed the company quickly and fundamentally.

!We implemented the transformation quickly to bring electric mobility to the masses.”

Volkswagen will present a production version of the ID. 2all for European market in 2025.

Kai Grünitz, Member of the Brand Management Board in charge of Development: “ID. The 2all will be the first MEB vehicle with front-wheel drive.

We are taking advantage of the tremendous flexibility offered by our modular electric drive (MEB) platform and will set new standards in terms of technology and everyday usability with the MEB Entry platform.”

The car has an output of 166 kW / 226 PS and will have a calculated WLTP range of up to 450 kilometers.
