Initially limited to just 1,500 units in the US for the 2023 model year, the Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition will now also be available for 2024.
Toyota made the announcement on Thursday, although the automaker did not say whether production would still be limited. However, the company confirmed that production of the GR Corolla will be increased. One reason for the limited supply is that the GR Corolla range is built at Gazoo Racing’s factory in Motomachi, Japan, alongside the smaller GR Yaris sold overseas.
Toyota cited strong demand as a reason to ramp up production and expand availability of the GR Corolla Circuit Edition, and the automaker said it is also considering a further extension of Circuit Edition availability into the 2025 model year if demand continues to remain strong.
“We’ve seen a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement for the GR Corolla, especially the Circuit Edition,” said Michael Tripp, Toyota’s head of marketing and communications, in a statement. “When Toyota GR fans talk, we listen and our plan is to increase the volume of the GR Corolla and continue to offer a Circuit Edition as part of the GR Corolla lineup in 2024.”

Exact specifications for the 2024 GR Corolla Circuit Edition will be announced later this year, but we know it will carry some of the 2023 model’s features.
The 2023 GR Corolla Circuit Edition adds some credible upgrades over the base grade GR Corolla Core. These include front and rear Torsen limited slip differentials, bulging hood, forged carbon fiber roof, synthetic suede and synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, red contrast stitching, and wireless charging for mobile devices.

Both versions feature the same 1.6-liter turbo-3 engine developing 300 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, with all four-wheel drive via a 6-speed manual transmission.
The more hardcore GR Corolla Morizo—as Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda borrows his nickname—features additional enhancements including an increase in peak torque to 295 lb-ft. The Morizo is limited to 200 units for 2023, though Toyota officials have hinted that it could also be offered in later years.

The price for the Corolla Core 2023 GR starts at $36,995. The Circuit Edition starts at $43,995 and the Morizo is $50,995. All figures include $1,095 for destinations.
It’s unclear whether prices will differ in subsequent years.
