NFDA Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) reaches the milestone of 500 accredited dealer sites.

Sue Robinson Chief Executive of NFDA said: “It is very positive to see that the automotive retail sector has embraced the NFDA Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme since its launch in 2019. Over the years, the scheme has continued to grow in strength. and we are delighted to have now reached our latest milestone of 500 accredited dealer sites.”

As well as reaching 500 accredited franchise dealer sites across the UK, the EVA scheme has recently had a number of other success stories:

  1. Audi UK is the first manufacturer to achieve 100% accreditation across its UK dealer network
  2. EVA launched its pilot scheme into the auction sector, where Shore Vehicle Auctions became the first UK auction site to achieve its EVA accreditation
  3. EVA accredited dealers will display their accreditation on the Dealer Auto Trader platform.

Robinson added: “Demand for electric vehicles continues to be a driving force in the UK new car market, as consumers become increasingly aware of the financial and environmental benefits of going electric. It is now more important than ever to stay ahead of the curve and ensure dealers are prepared for the continued electric revolution and support consumers in making their transition before the proposed new ban on ICE sales by 2030.

“Franchise dealers with their EVA accreditation are at the forefront of EV retail and continue to help consumers enter and navigate the EV market, which exists as an important information hub. EVA accredited dealers should continue to promote their accreditation to consumers through our EVA promotional marketing packages, using their accreditation as a direct identifier of their EV advantages and offering a competitive advantage to dealers who are not yet accredited.”
