Someone in Dubai recently paid $15 million for license plates. The license plate reading “P 7” received a record bid at a charity auction. It has now been seen in a car in public for the first time.
Now, one would expect to see expensive license plates on some sort of supercar or hypercar. However, that is not the case. One of the world’s most expensive license plates has been spotted on a Tesla Model X.
The all-black Model X looks a bit ordinary, especially on the streets of Dubai. The last place you’d expect to see a $15 million license plate is on a $120,000 electric car. That said, we’re sure the owner also has a hypercar or two in his garage. Hopefully, we’ll see the license plate transferred to a car that’s more worthy of special registration.
