To celebrate TAG Heuer’s longstanding partnership with the Principality of Monaco, the Swiss luxury watchmaker threw a glamorous party aboard the iconic Jacques Cartier. Docked in the beautiful Port of Monaco, guests were not only treated to great views but they also mingled and got the chance to chat with Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing Oracle Team, Sergio Pérez and Daniel Ricciardo.
Some of the guests who attended included VIP and brand ambassador Wi Ha Jun, tennis legend Maria Sharapova, actors Tom Holland and Louis Patridge, model Sara Sampaio, French rapper Hatik and boxer Conor McGregor. Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue was also in attendance to make a special appearance.
“We are thrilled to be back in the heart of Monaco, celebrating our longstanding relationship with the Principality and our partner, Team Oracle Red Bull Racing, since 2016. As a brand, TAG Heuer draws great inspiration from Monaco, the birthplace of our most iconic chronographs, and a track where we have witnessed some of the most exhilarating racing moments of the last decades, not only in Formula 1 but also in Formula E and Historic Grands Prix.” says Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer. “We can’t wait to get started this weekend and get our partner team and Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez on track this weekend, for what’s sure to be a thrilling performance.”
As part of the tradition, CEO Frédéric Arnault presents exceptional watches to the brand’s most promising partners and Formula 1 drivers to celebrate their extraordinary achievements. Max Verstappen received a personalized version of the latest TAG Heuer release, the exclusive TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton blue dial, featuring a charming skeleton dial with luminous detailing. Verstappen’s iconic “1” number is striking red, and the caseback reads “One of one,” signifying its exclusivity for Formula 1’s number one driver, with the two stars symbolizing Verstappen’s championship win.
On the other hand, for Pérez, TAG Heuer offers the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton dial in turquoise with a black skeleton dial and vibrant turquoise accents, symbolizing Pérez’s toughness. The watch features his initials “SP” and the Monaco racetrack silhouette on the back of the caseback. The engraved date “29.05.22” commemorates Pérez’s previous Monaco Grand Prix win while his motto, “Never give up,” reflects his indomitable spirit as a racer.
Through this memorable evening, TAG Heuer strengthens its strong ties to the Principality of Monaco and honors its historical relationship with motor racing. The brand is thrilled to share this opportunity with friends, partners and esteemed VIP guests, igniting the unparalleled atmosphere that sets the tone for the F1 Monaco Grand Prix racing weekend that we look forward to year after year.
