Smart Repairs has announced a 23% increase in first quarter turnover to £2.1m as it expands business from its northern base.
The group said overall turnover was expected to increase to over £9 million this year.
It now has 100 staff with 40 based in Leeds and plans to recruit 15 more technicians by 2023.
Smart Repairs.co.uk is co-owned by founder Dan Besau and investor Phil Newstead. The company performs more than 200,000 vehicle repairs a year.
Darryl Short, managing director, said the decision to expand had paid off. “In addition to making serious inroads in Cornwall, Devon, Cardiff, Swansea and Newport, we recently expanded into Scotland and we have further ongoing growth plans for North West, Midlands and the M25 area around London.”
Phil Newstead said: “The used car market remains buoyant, despite the current cost of living crisis and economic uncertainty.
In a quote, the Leeds-based JCT600 dealer said: “Smart Repairs.co.uk is a valued partner who is very much in line with our own corporate values and ethos. We have enjoyed working together over the years and watching their business grow across Yorkshire.”
