Rimac Nevera does 200 mph effortlessly on German Autobahn

The Rimac Nevera is one of the fastest electric cars out there. The hypercar also has the record for being the fastest production car in the world today. Today, we have a video of a car driving on Germany’s famous Autobahn.

Rimac Nevera on public roads unlimited

At first, the driver of the car did some 62-124 mph. Despite the cold tires, Nevera was pretty good on all tracks. The best of these is the 2.8-second run, which is even faster than the Bugatti Chiron.

Then, the all-electric car sped down the highway. Despite not having speed limits, the Autobahn is a public road at the end of the day, which means there are other road users. The driver then tries to reach the maximum possible speed under certain traffic conditions. The best recorded top speed was a whooping 216 mph or 348 km/h. These numbers are frankly quite astounding, but as you can see in the video, Rimac Nevera makes it very easy.

Rimac Nevera’s top speed record

Under the supervision of the team’s technicians, Rimac allowed Nevera’s limited to be removed for special events. Meanwhile, the standard Nevera is limited to 219 mph. Some time ago, the Croatian automaker conducted a quick trial of Rimac at Automotive Testing Papenburg in Germany. In this case, the engineers removed the limiter. The car was driven by none other than the head test and development driver at Rimac – Miro Zrnvevic.

With Zrnvevic, the car hits 256 mph, making it the world’s fastest production EV. The record-breaking car is stock and Rimac has outfitted it with road-legal Cup 2 R tires.

Powertrain from Rimac Nevera

Nevera is equipped with four electric motors. It has a combined total output of 1,914 horsepower and 1,696 lb-ft of torque. Rimac claims it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 2.4 seconds. Previously, the automaker claimed a top speed of 258 mph, which now appears to be doable.
