Renault Group UK has appointed John Richardson as its new head of network development.
This is the latest development for Richardson in his 15 year career at Renault Group UK.
During his time with the group, he has held senior sales and service operations positions. His extensive industry experience also includes previous roles at Ford and Vauxhall.
Ben Fish, Renault Group’s director of network operations, said: “I am delighted to be working with John in his new role, I know he will bring his extensive experience across functions to ensure the best possible representation for all Group Brands in the future.
“We are not following the agency model adopted by other manufacturers, and are firmly looking at dealerships in our plans to drive the success of the Renault Group in the UK. Dealers are critical to our customer satisfaction and growth, and their profitability is key, so we have structured ourselves strongly to support this with the appointment of John and other changes.
“What’s exciting is that together with our network, we had an explosion of transformative new products within two years. For Renault we have the 100% electric Megane E-Tech launched last year, the Austral E-Tech Full Hybrid SUV coming in June this year and shortly after, the highly anticipated full electric Renault 5 and Renault 4 models. For our plan to succeed, with so many new car launches, we needed to be simple and consistent in our approach and empower our network partners to do what they do best; to deliver a great customer experience.”
