The Bugatti Bolide was first showcased as a concept back in 2020. Finally, the automaker announced that it would build 40 units of what can only be described as the most hardcore and track-focused Bugatti ever imagined.
Now, for the first time, Bugatti has revealed the Bolide with production specifications as it enters its next phase of development testing.
The Bugatti Bolide is one of the most extreme track toys you can buy. On a par with the Pagani Huayra R, Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro and McLaren Solus GT.
If you look at the numbers, you’ll realize that Bolide is actually in a league of its own. It is based on an all-carbon monocoque with a dry weight of 1450 kg. At its heart is Bugatti’s legendary W16 quad-turbo motor. It has been further tuned, so it revs higher and produces 1600 hp.
That said, it’s a shame Bugatti didn’t use the same monster engine that was packed into the concept. The motor is expected to produce 1850 hp and 1364 lb-ft of torque. Still, he has an insane power-to-weight ratio.
First deliveries of the Bolide are scheduled for 2024. Each of these extreme track hypercars has a price tag of $4 million.
