New chief executive officer appointed to SMMT Industry Forum

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has appointed Ashley Fernihough as the new CEO of the SMMT Industry Forum.

Fernihough, who has had an extensive career in the automotive field, replaced Richard Sadler who left the Industry Forum after three years.

Starting a lifelong automotive career as an engineering intern, Fernihough has accumulated more than 40 years of experience in management and consulting roles spanning virtually every area of ​​the industry. He has a track record of delivering successful business transformation programs, with global leadership positions at companies including Jaguar Land Rover, Ricardo and IBM.
