Manila, Philippines, April 22– More than 80,000 riders have used and found the travel convenience brought by the new one Caloocan-España part NLEX connector since opening in March, most have cited reduced travel times between C3 Road, Caloocan City And Spanish, manila from 30 to just five minute.

At Facebook, HR executive Jennevie Ocampo mentioned the convenience of having a new route, saying “I often use toll roads because I accompany my eldest to UST before going to work. Normal travel time is 55 minutes via Skyway. With this Connector, it only takes me 30 minutes to get to work.”

NLEX Company President J. Luigi L. Bautista excited by public testimonies on social media and news reports. “The comments we have received from drivers only prove that the NLEX Connector has indeed served its purpose of increasing productivity as it helps make travel easier for drivers and commuters alike,” he said.
Supporting the government’s efforts to accelerate economic activity by implementing infrastructure projects, NLEX Corporation is investing in this new flyover which is expected to provide faster and easier access to the University Belt and its surroundings and reduce congestion along España Boulevard, Abad Santos Avenue, Rizal Avenue, and Lacson Avenue in Manila.
Bautista said that with the opening of this toll road, it makes it even more possible for people living in the North to go to study or work in Metro Manila, adding that the company continues to work closely with relevant agencies to further improve traffic management and policies around the local NLEX Connector roads.
“Metro Manila Council as well as the local governments of Manila and Caloocan have supported our initiative to reduce traffic in and out of the expressway system. We continue to work together to improve the traffic jams,” he said.
NLEX is also accelerating the completion of the next three-kilometer section of the NLEX Connector from España to Sta. Mesa. The construction progress of this segment is at 46 percent.
The NLEX connector consists of two part, that is Spanish And Sta Mesa part. The section of España in operation is between the Caloocan Interchange on C3 Streets and España Blvd., while the section under construction of Sta Mesa crosses España Blvd. to R. Magsaysay Blvd., until approx. PUP at Sta. Mesa, Manila. The latter displays the ramps on and off at Magsaysay and Sta. Mesa.
Serving all motorway vehicle classifications, the NLEX Connector aims to be a growth catalyst as it increases worker efficiency and provides savings for motorists, commuters and enterprises. It also boosts the local economy as the new road network plays an important role in spurring business activities and unlock land value.
