Currently, Mercedes-Benz is busy putting the finishing touches on the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT. You may have seen pictures and videos of prototypes before, but as we got closer to launch, the test mules started to lose some of their camouflage.
Reports suggest that the flagship variant of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT will be the hybrid-powered SE Performance. It will likely get a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with an electric motor. With a combined output of 831 hp and a staggering 1,033 lb-ft of torque, it will be a force to be reckoned with.
A video of what is believed to be the Mercedes-AMG GT SE Performance has now surfaced online. The test car was spotted testing out on the Nurburgring, giving us a chance to hear the V8 squeak under the hood.
Another AMG-powered car that will be unveiled soon is the Aston Martin DB12. Sources tell us that the Aston’s tuned twin-turbo V8 will likely produce around 650-690 hp. That doesn’t sound like much compared to the AMG GT 63 SE Performance, but that’s just the base variant.
