Historic Italian brand Lancia, now part of Stellantis, has languished for years with just one model, the Ypsilon, a minicar that was last redesigned in 2011.
With the support of Stellantis, Lancia is developing three electric vehicles as part of the brand’s revival, including a redesigned Ypsilon, a modernized Delta and a new flagship.
In a revival plan update provided on Tuesday, Lancia said a redesigned Ypsilon would come in 2024, followed by the flagship in 2026, and the Delta in 2028.
Lancia hasn’t provided specific details about the new models. The Ypsilon will likely be the twin of the new electric Fiat 500e arriving in the US in 2024, similar to how the current car is the twin of the previous Fiat 500.

The flagship may end up as a modern Aurelia, while the Delta is expected to return as a performance-focused hatchback, perhaps like the 1980s rally-inspired Delta HF. In its update, Lancia says the Delta will “inspire car enthusiasts across Europe”.
As well as adopting an electric powertrain for all future models, Lancia said it would increase the use of sustainable materials in its cars in an effort to increase overall brand sustainability. For example, at least 50% of all touchable surfaces are made of environmentally friendly materials, says Lancia. This will make Lancia the brand with the highest levels of recycled materials within the Stellantis fold.
As a possible preview of what’s to come, Lancia will unveil a concept in mid-April during Milan Design Week.
Don’t look for any of the new Lancias to reach the US, as the brand is completely focused on the European market.
