Leaked! Is this the Lamborghini Aventador successor we’ve been waiting for?

By now, you’ve probably seen a few spyshots and patent images of the Lamborghini Aventador’s successor, unless you’re one of the lucky few invited to the private launch. Now, new leaked images have surfaced online which might give us our first glimpse of the production version.

At first, the design of the successor to the Aventador did not look much different from the previous model. It has a similar wedge shape with a sharp looking front end. The Y-shaped LED DRL seems to be borrowed from the Sian FKP37.

Like the previous Lambo supercar, this Aventador successor features large vents on the sides. Instead of one large vent, it sports a Z-shaped design, while the window lines look exactly like their predecessors.

Coming to the rear of the car, the first thing you notice is the dual hexagonal exhaust tips. The rear bodywork has been shaped around the muffler, and there is no cowling. While the Y-shaped LED taillight seems to be inspired by the Centenario, it gains rear buttresses, which is definitely a new feature.

The successor to the Aventador will be powered by a new hybrid powertrain. It featured a naturally aspirated V12 engine powered by an electric motor. Sources tell us that the ICE alone can develop around 850 hp, while the combined output is expected to be around 1,050 hp.
