Jeep has announced changes to its UK management team.

Jules Tilstone was appointed managing director with immediate effect.

He will join marketing directors Nicola Austen and Christian Theobald as regional operations & Jeep Sales directors on the management team.

With over 20 years of experience at Stellantis, Tilstone began his career in the company as a commercial manager, developing his career at National Fleet and then Marketing for Citroën before moving to DS Automobiles in 2014 to the positions of head of international marketing, European commercial director and more recently UK managing director.

Tilstone said: “It is a great honor to take on the role of Managing Director for Jeep, a brand I have greatly admired for many years and which has an exciting future with a series of new products – our first all-electric new product, the Avenger, just launched. being awarded the European Car of The Year trophy is a great achievement and testament to the Jeep team.”

Christian Theobald joined the business 27 years ago as a trainee sales executive in the retail business holding multiple roles up to general manager. In 2019 he moved to Citroën as Head of Southern Region expanding the role to cover the whole of the UK as head of network sales.

He said: “I am very excited about this new chapter with Jeep at a great time for the brand on the back of the Car of the Year win for the Avenger, now looking forward to working closely with the Jeep network to realize the full potential that Jeep has to offer. In this role I also assume responsibility as Regional Director of Stellantis Mainstream Brands in the Southeast.”

Nicola Austen joined Alfa Romeo as brand communications manager in 2015, adding Jeep to the role in 2015 before moving to head of Fleet Sales in 2019. He moved to head of communications for Jeep in 2020 before moving up to director of marketing earlier this year.

Austen added: “The public response to ew Avenger has been encouraging, we’ve seen what’s coming in the Jeep pipeline and it’s been very exciting and gives us a lot of opportunities to create a new and electrifying campaign.

Paul Willcox, group managing director, Stellantis UK, said: “I am delighted to congratulate Jules on his new appointment as managing director for Jeep’s UK operations.

“Jules has the exciting task of leading a British business as it creates and prepares for its next milestone – the electric Jeep company.”
