Brand Franchise set to sell ChipsAway, the largest mobile network of car repair specialists in the UK.

ChipsAway is a long-standing mobile auto paint repair specialist focused on “SMART” (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) repairs for retail customers, including bumper scuffs, paint scratches, minor dents and rim abrasions.

ChipsAway has 191 franchisees, covering approximately 90% of the UK population, and consistently generates c.300k high quality consumer leads.

By 2022 this translates to c.66k completed repairs (meaning only 23% of requests converted) with estimated system sales of £18m.

The sale was made after a strategic review resulting in the Franchise Mark.

Stephen Hemsley, Chief Executive, said: “As the UK’s leading SMART repairs brand with a strong reputation and unrivaled national coverage, ChipsAway has a great opportunity to capture more of its large and fragmented market.”

“While our focus is on B2B, a large part of our business, we believe the sale of ChipsAway presents an opportunity for the new owner to work with his extraordinary team to move the business forward and exploit its huge potential.”

The sale will be conducted by finnCap Cavendish.
