Manila, Philippines, January 16 – Philippines Ford has solidified its position as one of the leading automotive players in the country by again posting strong retail performance in 2022.
Full year retail sales grew by 24 percent from last year to 24,710 vehicles led by his top three best-selling vehicles – the Forest ranger, Everest, and Region.
The Ranger was Ford’s top-selling vehicle last year, with sales up 24 percent 11,396 vehicle, making it the second best-selling pickup truck in the country.
Ford Philippines unveiled the next-generation Ranger (below) last year, dubbed the smartest, most versatile and most capable Ranger ever. The latest generation of Ranger has enhanced capabilities and comfort, advanced technology, and smart connectivity that delivers a new and improved experience for pick-up customers.
Meanwhile, Ford Everest also delivered strong sales last year, with full-year sales growing by 99 percent 3,534 vehicle, as it once again makes its presence felt in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.
The next-generation Ford Everest officially made its local debut in the country last July, blending adventure-ready capability with exceptional comfort and customer-focused technology in an SUV that’s rugged, smooth and fun to drive.
For the third year in a row, the Ford Territory remained the best-selling small SUV in the country last year, with full-year sales increasing by 35 percent to 9,269 units and a strong market share of 51 percent. Ford territory reached its own 15,000 sales milestone in September last year.
In terms of monthly retail performance, Ford posted its best retail sales in December with 3,260 vehicles, a 76 percent increase from the same period last year, driven by sales of the next-generation Ranger of 1,566 units, the highest retail performance since its launch in July.

Strengthen customer engagement
2022 also saw the launch of Ford’s online reservation platform alongside local reveals of the next-gen Ranger and Everest (below). Reaching more digitally savvy customers, portals pave the way for a safe and secure vehicle ordering experience. By the end of the year, nearly 1,500 vehicle orders and over 5,000 vehicle bid requests had been generated from the portal.
Ford Philippines was also launched FordPass last year to owners of the next generation of Ford vehicles, offering a richer ownership experience through an intelligent one-stop application with a series of useful features for customers. With FordPass, customers whose vehicles are equipped with FordPass Connect, or a cellular modem containing an e-SIM that allows the vehicle to connect to the internet, can access remote control functions such as remote start/stop, lock/unlock, and fuel level check.
Last year also marked a comeback Ford Island Conquest (FIC) an experiential test drive event, giving customers the opportunity to see and test drive a Ford vehicle outside of the Ford showroom. More than 1,200 reservations for Ford vehicles produced over the seven legs were held at various locations in the country, including more than 2,600 test drives.
Keeping the momentum going with retail deals in January
This month, Ford Philippines is offering a retail promotion for its best-selling vehicle, which includes a P149,000 all-in deposit and 3 years free scheduled service plan for Ford Territory. The next generation Ranger XLS 4×2 MT is also available at a price of a P105,000 a down payment all-in, while the next-gen Ranger XLS 4×2 AT is offered at a P99,999 all-in advance.
