Fisker Ocean has yet to receive an official EPA range rating for the US, but Fisker last week announced a 440-mile range rating for the electric crossover on its European WLTP test cycle.
WLTP numbers are generally higher than US EPA ratings, so Ocean will likely receive a lower range rating on this side of the Atlantic. For now, the Ocean offers a much wider range than the Tesla Model Y in the European market. On the WLTP cycle, the Model Y is currently rated for 331 miles in Long Range, 319 miles in Performance, and 282 miles and 267 miles in basic rear-wheel drive specification with 19-inch and 20-inch wheels, respectively.

However, Ocean is not yet available in Europe—or the US. In a press release announcing the 440-mile range rating, Fisker said it expects European regulatory approval by April 28, with deliveries to follow after that. The company says US deliveries are expected to start in the middle of this year.
Contract manufacturer Magna started production of Lautan last November, but so far has been slow. At the start of this month, Fisker reported Magna had only made 56 Oceans. It stands by plans to build more than 42,000 of them this year.

Fisker is reportedly looking to expand production for Ocean. Last August the company said strong demand could warrant expanding production in 2024, starting with Magna and potentially including a second manufacturing site in the US.
The $29,900 Fisker Pear is also on the way. The Pear—which stands for “Personal Electric Automotive Revolution”—aims for a 300-mile EPA range, and is planned to be built by Foxconn in the former General Motors plant in Lordstown, Ohio. Fisker said last month that it had more than 5,600 reservations for the Pear — all before it was offered a comprehensive look or specification. A reveal is expected later this year, with production starting in 2024.
