Ferrari has announced it is recalling its flagship mid-engined supercar, the SF90 Stradale, due to airbag issues.

According to the company, the problem is related to the passenger side airbag. It was found that when a child seat is installed, the airbag can impact when deployed. 13 vehicles manufactured between 2021 and 2023 have been affected by this issue. This includes the SF90 Stradale and SF90 Spider models.

The announcement comes at a time when Ferrari is preparing to introduce a track-focused version of the SF90, dubbed the ‘Versione Speciale. It is expected to get an aero update along with chassis and performance upgrades.

Currently, the SF90 packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 769 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. It is powered by two electric motors for a combined output of 986 hp.
