Ferrari has released the first teaser of the upcoming Roma Spider. Maranello also confirmed that the convertible Roma will debut on March 16, 2023.
We learned that the Roma Spider launch event will be held in Marrakesh, Morocco. Reporters will be driving soon after that.
The drop-top Roma is expected to be powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. In the coupe, the motor produces 611 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque and is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Spider will likely be slightly heavier than the coupe. However, that shouldn’t be a problem as the Roma Spider is more of a grand tourer than a straight-up performance car. Ferrari claims the coupe can reach 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 198 mph. So, the Spiders’ performance numbers should be in the same ballpark.
