Two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso is selling his Ferrari Enzo. The supercar will go under the hammer at L’AstaRossa’s Monaco Car Auctions event on June 8.

Alonso’s Ferrari Enzo is pretty standard spec with Rosso Corsa bodywork and a black Alcantara interior with plain carbon trim, red dial and contrast stitching. The car has covered 2,983 miles since it was delivered to the Spaniard’s garage. It has also received the coveted Ferrari Classiche Red Book certification, which authenticates that the car is in original factory condition.

The Ferrari Enzo is the successor to the legendary F50. It was produced between 2002 and 2004. During this period, Ferrari built 400 examples. At the heart of every Enzo is an astonishing 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 651 hp and 485 lb-ft of torque. It is bolted to a 6-speed automatic manual transmission that drives the rear axle.

Fernando Alonso raced for Ferrari for four years, starting in 2010. Today it is common for factory drivers to receive special cars during their tenure. However, how and when Alonso got his Enzo is unknown. Nonetheless, it is still a niche machine and is expected to sell for over $5 million at auction.
