Epyx 1link vehicle exhaust saw a sixfold increase in electric vehicle sales in the first quarter.

Tim Meadows, chief commercial officer at epyx, said an “important” development for 1link Disposal Network was the relatively high number of electric vehicles (EVs) now being sold through the platform.

“We are seeing an exponential increase in EV sales as cars start coming to the used market in higher numbers. Year-to-date sales for 2023 are over 600% higher than the previous year.

“Interestingly, they are being bought by all types of dealers, demonstrating their increasing retail appeal – despite the two-to-one divide favoring franchises versus independents,” he said.

Meadows commented as the channel delivered its 500,000th fleet vehicle sale via epyx’s 1Link Disposal Network platform.

A gray 2019 Volkswagen Golf, 30,000 miles, was purchased by a dealer in Anglia from a major leasing company.
