Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has revealed the launch time for the Urus EV. He spoke on the sidelines of the preview of the Aventador’s successor.

Winkelmann confirmed that the next generation Urus will be an all-electric SUV. This means the upcoming Urus Hybrid will be the final iteration of Lamborghini’s flagship SUV to sport a twin-turbo V8 engine.

The Urus PHEV will arrive next year and is expected to be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with an electric motor offering a combined output of around 820 hp. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid uses the same powertrain, albeit with a lower pitch.

Lamborghini also announced a replacement for the Huracan. The Huracan successor is expected to be powered by a twin-turbo hybrid V8 engine. It will debut in 2024.
