One of the first Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta was delivered to @fanchracing last month. The owner recently took the car to the French Alps, a decision he may later regret.

Courchevel ski resort was still snowing when he arrived with @the_car_trotter. The men were taking pictures and video from 812 Competizione A, driving around a mountain road, when suddenly, the back popped out as it exited the tunnel. The owner’s quick reaction saved the car from what could have been a major accident.

812 Competizione A is an open-top version which is only offered to VIP clients. The car in this video has a Grigio Titanio exterior with yellow stripes. It has black Alcantara in the interior.

The 812 Competizione A is powered by a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that develops 830 hp @ 9250 rpm and 510 lb-ft @ 7000 rpm. Although the engine is similar to that which powers Superfast, it now revs up to 9,500 rpm. As a result, the car accelerates to 60 mph in just 2.85 seconds, while its top speed is 211 mph.
