Renowned tuner Hennessey has released a new video. The video shows a Corvette Stingray racing alongside a C8-generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in H700 kit.
What is the H700 upgrade package?
The Texas-based tuner offers a new supercharger, intercooler and catback exhaust as part of the H700 package. Further, the company is also offering new tuners to take care of the upgraded components along with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. This will convert your standard Corvette to 708 HP and 638 lb-ft. machine. When compared to the stock engine, the naturally aspirated version only puts out 495 HP and 470 lb-ft.
Race between stock and H700 Corvette
The first drag race consisted of a standing start event. Both cars got off to a good start but it’s easy to see that the supercharged version is getting ahead and easily establishes a good lead. Of further note is that despite the increased performance, the car holds its own and suffers no traction issues.
After that, the two cars did a rolling start race. Here too, the Hennessey version easily manages to beat the stock car and win with minimal effort.
For the final race, the H700 drivers let the stock cars overtake but still managed to close the gap and finish the race first.
