Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc was robbed in Viareggio on April 18, 2022. Around 10pm, Leclerc stopped for a photo with a group of fans, when two men snatched his watch from his wrist.

As you might imagine, this is no ordinary timepiece. Leclerc reportedly had a Richard Mille 67-02 on his wrist at the time, a $320,000 watch.

As per the latest reports, the Italian police have detained four people in connection with the theft. They also found two “precious watches”, although it is unclear whether these included Leclerc’s.

Police have also released CCTV footage from the night of the incident. The video shows Charles in his Ferrari 488 Pista, followed by a silver crossover.
