Bentley Motors to open new facility to aid sustainability goals

Bentley Motors has announced a new Launch Quality Center and Engineering Technical Center, representing a £35 million investment.

The new facility at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England, will be an integral part of the brand’s preparation for future production of Battery Powered Electric Vehicles (BEVs).

The new building will include a BEV replica assembly line in preparation for the introduction of Bentley’s first BEV in 2026.

It will also include a software integration center, prototype workshop, metrology testing and a dedicated area focused on future materials development.

Peter Bosch, member of the board for manufacturing, said: “Starting the new Launch Quality Center and Engineering Technical Center is another important milestone in our journey towards an electrified, carbon neutral future.

“The auto industry is in the midst of a digital revolution, with cars becoming truly digital devices, and this presents a significant opportunity for Bentley as we aim to become a benchmark in the next generation of high-value manufacturing underpinning our growing and re-emphasizing Dream Factory. our commitment to the Beyond100 strategy and our long-term future on site.”
