Aston Martin has released the first teaser of the DB11 successor. The brand’s next-generation front-engined sports car is expected to be named the DB12.

The teaser image doesn’t reveal much. It just shows the silhouette of a car covered in a Union Jack. However, a prototype successor to the DB11 has already been spotted in the wild. The car was recently spotted in Sweden undergoing cold weather testing.

The spy images suggest that the DB12 will be more of an evolution of the Aston Martin DB11. The car is expected to get a redesigned front end with re-profiled LED headlamps and a larger front grille, while the rear looks identical to the previous model.

The DB11 successor will likely feature some updates. While Aston hasn’t confirmed any details yet, it’s possible the engine will be reset a bit. Currently, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 develops 528 hp and 513 lb-ft of torque, and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The DB11 is also available with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that packs 630 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
