American Honda Joins Modern Golf Movement as First National Automotive Partner of Topgolf

Torrance, Calif., February 6America Honda Motor Co., Inc. and leader of modern golf entertainment top golf today announced a new multi-year partnership that will see Honda and Acura the national first and exclusive Authorized Automotive Partner brand and Topgolf’s Authorized Vehicle. Focused on bringing more of the game to the world, Topgolf offers a technology-enabled venue experience where experienced golfers and those new to the game can enjoy the sport. As Topgolf’s Official Vehicles, the Honda and Acura brands will ultimately have partner exclusivity in the mass-market and luxury automotive categories across all Topgolf US venues.

Honda and Acura will look to enhance the energetic and exciting Topgolf experience by bringing more forms of play to the Topgolf scene. The American Honda-Topgolf partnership will feature new Topgolf player activations, such as Honda and Acura Topgolf game play special offers and player programming. Additional elements of the new partnership include test drives of Honda and Acura vehicles, vehicle shows and a raffle. More detailed information on these marketing activities and efforts will be made available in the coming months.

Young buyers (Millennials and Gen Z) represent nearly half of Topgolf’s venue players and this new partnership is part of a strategy to grow stronger relationships with the next generation of car buyers. Currently, with 87 places around the world, and 78 of them in the US, Topgolf attracts more than 30 million players every year – from first timers to seasoned golfers.

Honda and Acura will begin activating a new Topgolf partnership in early 2023 At eligible venues across the US, Topgolf players will be introduced to Honda’s line of fun-to-drive and adventure-ready vehicles, while Acura will continue its relationship with the next generation of premium car buyers by delivering on its brand promise of Precision Crafted Performance.

American Honda and Sports Marketing

The new relationship with Topgolf adds to Honda America’s extensive list of sports marketing initiatives, including Honda’s long standing relationship with national Hockey League, as the Official Vehicle and Automotive Partner of the NHL, and Honda’s growing presence in esports as the exclusive automotive partner and official vehicle for Team Liquid – recently became the exclusive naming rights sponsor for the Team Liquid Honda League of Legends and Challenger Series teams. The Acura brand’s presence throughout the years throughout the March college championship basketball tournament continues this winter. Honda and Acura (above) have also continued their success in motorsport, competing at the top end and being highly competitive IndyCar And IMSA racing series in North America.
