Porsche is gearing up the 2024 Cayenne for its launch at Auto Shanghai next week. Now, the German automaker has released a new teaser campaign ahead of the launch of the luxury SUV.

What’s new in the 2024 Porsche Cayenne facelift?

While the exterior changes have been far and few and not overly drastic, there is one change that makes this car stand out. Yes, these are the new HD Matrix headlamps. This headlight cluster consists of 16,384 individual micro LEDs housed in an area as small as a thumbnail. Furthermore, the micro LEDs can also be controlled independently. Four such clusters are used in total – two per headlamp. Porsche claims that the high beam headlights can illuminate the road ahead up to 2000 feet and that the lights have a non-glare function that prevents traffic glare.

Porsche also claims that the new lights are much more efficient than before because they only turn on the lights that are needed. The light also features a DRL setup and three LEDs for additional lighting and additional spotlights.

At the rear, the new Cayenne will get a new light bar, updated graphics and a relocated license plate reminiscent of the Cayenne Coupe.

The powertrain of the new Porsche Cayenne facelift

For the 2024 Cayenne, Porsche has increased the power output of all available engines. This includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 rated at 349 HP and 368 lb-ft. along with a larger twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 that develops 468 HP and 442 lb-ft. The latter will be offered in the Cayenne S as a replacement for the V6 while the base 3.0-liter has gained 14 HP and 37 lb-ft.

Meanwhile the top Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT will produce 651 HP and 627 lb-ft of torque. This is a 20 HP bump. Porsche will offer an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all wheels. There will also be an electric model that gets a larger 25.9 kWh battery pack over the current car’s 17.9 kWh unit. Another important update for the hybrid car is the inclusion of an 11 kW onboard charger.

In the Chinese market, Porsche plans to offer a 2.0-liter four-cylinder model to fall within a smaller tax plate.
