Shoppers in the market for an attractive electric vehicle that won’t break the bank have a good choice in the new 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6.
The sleek sedan will arrive in dealers in spring and is priced from $42,715, including a $1,115 destination fee.
That starting price is for the SE class with rear-wheel drive, 149 hp, 53 kWh battery capacity, and an estimated 240 mile EPA range. This particular option will only be available starting in the summer.
A smarter buy is the SE class with rear-wheel drive, 225 hp, 77.4 kWh battery capacity, and an estimated EPA range of 361 miles, priced from $46,615, destinations included.
2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6
Opting for all-wheel drive increases power to 320 hp but drops range to 316 miles. The all-wheel-drive Ioniq 6 sedan comes exclusively with a 77.4-kwh battery, and starts at $50,115, including destinations.
All range estimates are for the Ioniq 6 sedan equipped with standard 18-inch wheels. Adding the available 20-inch wheels lowers the estimate.
2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6
With a wheelbase of 116.1 inches, the Ioniq 6 slides between the longer wheelbase of the 118.1-inch Kia EV6 and the shorter 114.1-inch wheelbase of the Ioniq 5. the glass panel is similar to what’s found on the Ioniq 5. In terms of charging, the 800-volt architecture means the Ioniq 6 should be able to charge from 10-80% in just 18 minutes using a suitable DC fast charger, according to Hyundai.
Standard Ioniq 6 features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multiple USB chargers, over-the-air update capability, ambient lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel with interactive pixel lights, rear view camera, and several driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, and rear cross traffic warning.
