Usually, if we compare cars with similar power figures, the fight is pretty close. Now, videos of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and McLaren Artura drag racing have surfaced online.

While both cars started on equal footing, at first the Corvette appeared to be getting off to a good start and looked to be drifting away from McLaren. However, about halfway through the race, McLaren began to excel. While the Corvette Z06 was unable to keep up with Artura and ended up being left almost 2 car distances behind.

The Chevrolet Corvette comes with a 5.5 liter V8 engine featuring a flat plane crank, dual top cams and dry sump lubrication. This motor puts out 670 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.
Furthermore, the naturally aspirated V8 engine is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This gearbox sends power to the rear wheels. Chevrolet claims the new Z06 will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 195 mph.
McLaren Artura : More Details
On the other side is McLaren Artura. This car is the first series production hybrid model from the automaker. The powertrain consists of a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that develops 577 HP and 431 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an electric motor for an additional 97 HP, the combined system output is 671 HP and 531 lb-ft. Additionally there is a 7.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a maximum electric range of 19 miles. The car comes with a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and e-differential.
